ENTERING EVENT: You can begin entering the Shark Tooth Frenzy at 10:30 AM, but the ropes to begin hunting will not start until 11:15AM. Do not come earlier than needed, early arrival does not equal a early entrance. When you check in you can either bring your printed ticket, show us on your phone, or we will look you up by name/email, screen shots of your ticket are prohibited.
- If you are over the age of 12 you MUST have a purchased admission ticket to enter the event.
CROSSING THE ROPE: The ropes will drop at exactly 11:15 AM after the 10 second count down, if you cross the rope before the allocated time you and your entire party will be removed from the event, no exceptions.
FUN TO DO: There will be face painting, T-Shirts for purchase (Cash or Card), music, a huge shark jaw and a real scuba diver to take pictures with, food, and booths to checkout.
PARKING/BUSES: The parking is still being discussed with the Port Royal town. This is up to the town and once determined will be updated here and sent out in an email prior to the event.
SHOES, SHOES, SHOES: We cannot stress enough to wear water shoes or some type of shoes during the Frenzy and in the water. We clean the beach thoroughly prior to each event, but some of the fossils can be sharp if you step on them and you may also encounter oyster beds in the water.
HANDICAP PARKING: Port Royal Town is working with us this year to establish handicap parking. The town is working on a “VIP section” close to the beach for individuals that have an official handicap parking pass.
BREASTFEEDING/CHANGING TENT: There will be a tent available for moms that need to breastfeed or change their little ones so they don’t have to leave the event! Always have my new mama’s in mind!
WATCH YOUR CHILDREN: On each parents wrist band we write the amount of children they bring in. When the parent leaves, we check how many children they are leaving with. We also pause multiple times throughout the event to do a “kid check” to make sure parents are pausing and ensuring they know the location of all their children. There is only so much Shark Teeth Expeditions can do to ensure the safety of your kiddos. PLEASE be cautious that this event does hold a crowd and to keep an eye on your children at all times. I supply the fossils, you supply the parenting.
DAY OF TICKETS: We encourage you to purchase your tickets ahead of time. Day of ticket purchases will be $55 for anyone above the age of 12, but still free for anyone below the age of 12. All children MUST be accompanied by a parent or else they will not be allowed in.
Note: Your admission wristband will allow you to enter and exit the event freely. Please keep the wristband on the entire event and if found without a wristband you will have to be checked back in at registration. If you are found giving your wristband to someone outside of the event your entire party will be required to leave.
